The first invoice is the moment every cloud Tally setup gets judged: the data is on a server in another city, and the printer is humming next to your desk. This page explains how the printout crosses that gap, what to check when it does not — and points you to the dedicated printer guide for the full setup.
Printing feels like it should just work, and in this architecture it is the one feature that crosses between two worlds: the application lives on the server, the printer lives with the user. TSplus bridges that gap by carrying the print job from the server session back to the printer attached to the user's own machine. When it works, an invoice printed from cloud Tally lands on the desk printer like any local print. When it does not, the checks below find the break.
When a user prints from Tally inside a TSplus session, the server prepares the job and the session delivers it to a printer the user's side provides — either a printer redirected from their own computer into the session, or through TSplus's universal printing, which converts the job and prints it on the local device. The practical meaning: each user's printing depends on their machine and their printer being set up correctly, not on anything attached to the server. The server room could have no printer at all, forever.
Full printer engineering — choosing and configuring TSplus printer redirection in depth, per-user default printers, and dedicated tools like TSPrint that many Tally-on-cloud setups use for reliable printing — is a complete topic of its own. It is covered end to end in the companion video in this series, TSPrint + Tally on Cloud, where the printer setup is the whole subject rather than one section. If printing is your daily pain, that guide is the one to follow after this overview.
The video builds the complete TSplus Tally server — printing rides on exactly the session setup shown there.

Yes — that is the normal pattern in this setup. The printer is attached to the user's own computer, and the TSplus session carries the job to it. The printer needs to work locally first; the cloud adds no magic to a printer that fails its own test page.
Printer configuration for this architecture — redirection, defaults and TSPrint — is covered as a dedicated topic in the companion TSPrint + Tally on Cloud video in this series. This page covers how printing works and the quick checks; that video is the full walkthrough.
