LabConfig Registry Bypass Install Windows 11 Manually Without Any Tool
Every bypass tool — Ventoy, Rufus, all of them — automates the same five registry values. This page is the original manual method: an ordinary Microsoft USB, one hidden command window during Setup, and the LabConfig keys typed by hand.

Windows Setup has a documented testing configuration area in its registry: HKLM\SYSTEM\Setup\LabConfig. Values placed there tell Setup to skip specific hardware requirement checks — it exists so labs and manufacturers can test on varied hardware. Ventoy writes these values for you at boot; with this method you write them yourself, in the two minutes before Setup performs its check. It works with a completely standard Windows 11 USB made by Microsoft's own Media Creation Tool.
👆 The finished LabConfig key — five DWORD values, each set to 1, names spelled exactly (registry view recreated with the real value names)
1
Open the Registry Editor Inside Setup
Boot the PC from any standard Windows 11 USB and wait for the first Setup screen (language and keyboard choices)
Press Shift + F10 — a Command Prompt window opens on top of Setup
Type regedit and press Enter — the Registry Editor opens
Timing matters: do this before clicking through to the point where Setup checks the PC. The first screen is the safe moment
2
Create the LabConfig Key and Its Five Values
In Registry Editor, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup
Right-click Setup → New → Key, and name the new key LabConfig
Select LabConfig, then right-click the empty right side → New → DWORD (32-bit) Value
Create these five values, spelling each name exactly, and set every one's data to 1: BypassTPMCheck, BypassSecureBootCheck, BypassCPUCheck, BypassRAMCheck, BypassStorageCheck
Compare your screen with the panel above. A single wrong letter in a name means that check is not bypassed — Setup ignores names it does not recognise
Close Registry Editor and the Command Prompt, then continue Setup normally — the hardware check now passes
3
The Faster Route — Five Commands Instead of Clicking
Prefer typing to clicking? In the same Shift+F10 Command Prompt, run these five lines (or only the ones you need):
Each line should answer "The operation completed successfully." Then close the window and continue Setup.

How This Relates to the Tools
That is the entire secret — there is no deeper magic in any tool. Ventoy writes these same values automatically when it boots the ISO (its VTOY_WIN11_BYPASS_CHECK setting), and Rufus arranges the same result while preparing its media. Doing it by hand is slower but teaches you exactly what the tools do — and it rescues you on the day the only USB available is Microsoft's own.
⚠️ Honest note: the manual method changes nothing about the result — the PC is still officially unsupported, updates are still not guaranteed by Microsoft, and the POPCNT / SSE4.2 floor for Windows 11 24H2 still applies because that is a capability limit, not a check. The method also only covers the install; the yearly feature upgrade has its own route (the MoSetup key), covered in the updates guide in this series.

Manual tareeka samajh aa gaya to Ventoy wala automatic flow video me aur bhi aasan lagega.
Does this work with a USB made by Microsoft's Media Creation Tool?
Yes — that is precisely the point of the manual method. The USB stays completely standard; the bypass exists only in the Setup session's registry, added by you after booting and before the check runs.
Setup already showed the can't-run-Windows-11 screen. Can I go back and add the keys?
Restart the PC, boot the USB again, and add the keys at the very first Setup screen before proceeding. The values must exist before Setup performs its check; adding them after the failure screen is too late for that session.
I only lack a TPM. Do I need all five values?
No. Add only the values for the checks your PC fails — for a missing TPM that is BypassTPMCheck alone. The full set of five is simply the convenient cover-everything version.
