Mirror Your Android Phone to PC and Play on the Big Screen
Zero install on the phone, no account, no catalogue, works with every single Android game you own. Mirroring with scrcpy is the most honest "without emulator" method of all — here is the full setup and its real limits.

scrcpy (screen copy) is a free, open-source tool by Genymobile that shows your Android phone's screen on your PC and lets you control it with mouse and keyboard. The game never leaves the phone — that is the entire trick, and why it works with every game, on almost any PC. No root, no app installed on the phone, nothing left behind when you unplug. Setup takes about five minutes.
A healthy first connection looks like this — the phone appears as "device" and the mirror window opens. Commands and output simplified for illustration.
1
Step 1 — Get scrcpy From the Official Source Only
On Windows, install with winget: winget install --exact Genymobile.scrcpy — or download the Windows zip from the official scrcpy GitHub releases
Extract it to a simple folder like C:\scrcpy
Never download scrcpy from random "free download" sites — the real one is free on GitHub, and copies elsewhere are a known malware wrapper
2
Step 2 — Switch On USB Debugging on the Phone
Settings → About phone → tap Build number 7 times to unlock Developer options
Settings → Developer options → turn on USB debugging
Connect the phone with a data cable (some cables only charge)
On the phone, tap Allow on the "Allow USB debugging" prompt — tick always allow only on your own PC
USB debugging sounds technical, but here it only gives your own PC permission to see and control the screen. You can switch it off any time in the same menu.
3
Step 3 — Connect and Play
Open a terminal in the scrcpy folder and run adb devices — your phone should show as device (not "unauthorized")
Run scrcpy — the phone screen opens in a window
Use the mouse as a finger and the keyboard for typing; the game runs exactly as on the phone, on the big screen
Useful extras: scrcpy --max-size 1280 lightens the load on weak PCs, and scrcpy --record game.mp4 records your gameplay
Audio forwarding works on Android 11 and newer, so game sound comes to the PC speakers automatically.

Wireless Mirroring — Possible, USB Is Better for Games
scrcpy can connect over Wi-Fi after a one-time USB setup, and it is fine for casual games and demos. For action games, stay on the cable: USB gives the lowest delay and never drops when the Wi-Fi gets busy. Competitive players treat the cable as part of the setup, not an inconvenience.
5
The Honest Limits of Mirroring
The phone does the work — it heats and its battery drains; plug it in for long sessions (it charges over the same cable)
Controls are touch-shaped — mouse acts as a finger; true mouse-aim games feel better on an official PC version
The phone screen stays the source — resolution and smoothness cannot exceed what the phone renders
Within those limits, mirroring is unbeatable: every game works, no account risk, no PC requirements worth mentioning.
🔴 Safety note: only tick "Always allow from this computer" on PCs you own. USB debugging gives that computer real control of the phone — never approve the prompt on a stranger's or a shop's PC, and turn USB debugging off when you no longer need it.

No root, and nothing is installed on the phone — scrcpy pushes a temporary server over USB that disappears when you disconnect. It is free and open source from Genymobile on GitHub.
Is there a delay when playing through mirroring?
Over USB the delay is very low and most games feel responsive. Wi-Fi mirroring adds more delay and can stutter, so use the cable for fast games.
Can I play over Wi-Fi without the cable?
Yes, after a one-time USB setup to pair the connection. It is convenient for casual play, but USB remains the better choice for action and competitive games.
