Ventoy Multiboot USB One Pendrive for Many PCs and ISOs
A Ventoy pendrive with twelve mystery ISOs is not a toolkit - it is a drawer of unlabeled cables. The same pendrive, organised, is the fastest install system a technician can carry. The difference is discipline, and it takes an hour to set up once.

Ventoy's power is that ISOs are just files. That power cuts both ways - files get dumped in, versions pile up, and at a customer's PC you cannot tell which file is current. Name clearly, organise in folders, test everything once at home, and update the Ventoy core without wiping the library. Here is the full routine.
An example layout. Folders group the jobs, names carry version and language, and nothing on the drive is a mystery.
1
Name Every ISO Like a Label, Not a Download
The file name is the only description you get in the boot menu. Make it answer three questions - what, which version, which language.
Rename downloads immediately. A name like Win11_25H2_English_x64.iso will still make sense in a year
Delete the old version the same day you add the new one - two Windows 11 ISOs on one drive is a mistake waiting for a tired evening
Keep a small text file on the drive noting where each ISO came from and its download date
Never keep an ISO you cannot identify. An unknown file gets deleted, not tried on a customer's machine
2
Folders Keep the Boot Menu Readable
Ventoy browses folders exactly like files, so structure costs nothing.
One folder per job type - Windows installers, rescue environments, Linux
Drivers and small tools can live on the same pendrive in a normal folder - Ventoy ignores anything that is not a bootable image
Keep the root clean. A menu with five folders opens faster in your head than a list of thirty files
3
Update Ventoy Without Erasing the Library
Ventoy releases updates, and the update path is different from the install path - confusing them is expensive.
In Ventoy2Disk, the Update button upgrades the Ventoy core and keeps your files
The Install button reformats the device - everything on it is erased
Read which button you are about to click. Twice, if the drive is your main toolkit
After an update, boot one ISO as a smoke test before trusting the drive on a job
4
Test Every ISO Once, at Home, on a Spare Machine
The worst place to discover a corrupt ISO is in front of a customer whose PC you just erased.
Boot each new ISO to its first screen once - for Windows ISOs, reach the setup language screen
Leave healthy free space on the drive. A pendrive filled to the last megabyte gives setup and tools no room to work
Carry a second, simple Rufus USB as backup - libraries fail too, and the backup is one ISO deep on purpose
🔴 Secure Boot note. On some PCs a Ventoy drive asks for a one-time key enrolment before it boots under Secure Boot. Do it once per PC and it is remembered - but never be surprised by it in front of a customer; test on your own machine first.

Both methods live on screen - making the USB with Rufus, making it with Ventoy, booting and installing Windows 11 step by step.
Yes. Ventoy only boots the image files - documents, drivers and portable tools in other folders are untouched and readable in any PC.
How many ISOs can one pendrive hold?
As many as fit. The practical limit is organisation, not the tool - if you cannot name what every file is, the library is too big.
My new ISO does not appear in the menu - why?
Usually the copy never finished or the file extension is wrong. Re-copy the file, eject the pendrive properly, and check the ISO file itself is complete by comparing its size with the official listing.
