Everyone searches for a SEPM download link. There is not one, and that is deliberate. This page explains where the media actually lives, what unlocks it, and which file to take when you get there.
Type "SEPM download" into a search engine and you will drown in forums, upload sites and video descriptions promising the file. Broadcom does not publish the manager installer publicly at all. It sits behind your company's entitlement in the Broadcom Support portal. That feels like friction until you think about what SEPM is: the program that will hold update and policy power over every PC you own. The video shows the download route; here is what each step really means.
The portal view that decides everything. If your product is missing here, the download cannot start, and that is an account fix, not a search problem.
Symantec became part of Broadcom, and Broadcom sells to companies through contracts. The software therefore ships the way enterprise software usually does: your licence is the key to the download area. This is also a safety design, even if it was made for commercial reasons. A management server installer is a high-value target: poison one copy and every machine it manages trusts it. Broadcom's answer is a single, account-checked source. Once you accept that the portal is the only shop, the rest of this page is simple.
Three things. A Broadcom Support account (free to create, but it must be yours or your company's). Your entitlement proof: the licence serial number, the site ID, or the contract details from your purchase paperwork or reseller invoice. And the rights linkage: the entitlement must be attached to your account, which is exactly the step that fails for most people the first time. Ask whoever bought the licence, usually your reseller, which email and site ID the purchase was registered under. That one answer saves a day of clicking.
That is Broadcom's own published route. It looks like a maze the first time and a habit the third time. The same entitlement page is also where the Licences icon gives you your licence keys and the licence file for the console.
Two downloads matter. For the manager, take the Full Installation file, named along the pattern Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_<version>_Full_Installation_<lang>.exe. It contains the management server and the client packages. There is also an All Clients zip with standalone client installers, useful later for manual client installs. Language matters less than release: take the latest release your licence entitles you to, unless your existing clients pin you to a specific one. Keep the file name and release written in your IT register; future-you, mid-upgrade, will be grateful.
The naming pattern is Broadcom's documented one. Version numbers change with each release.
An empty My Entitlements page does not mean your licence is fake. It almost always means the entitlement is registered under a different account or site. Work it in this order: ask the reseller for the exact site ID and registered email; sign in with that account or request access to that site; then, if it is still empty, raise it with Broadcom Customer Care, who can relink entitlements. What does not fix it, ever, is downloading the installer from somewhere else "just for now". An unverifiable management server is a permanent problem installed on purpose.
Every "SEPM free download" page outside Broadcom is one of three things: a stub downloader that installs junk beside the real file, an old release someone re-uploaded, or a tampered installer. You cannot checksum your way out of this, because the trustworthy reference value also only exists behind the portal. The manager will run with high privilege and push content to every endpoint you own. Treat its media like you treat firmware: vendor source, or no install. This is the whole case for doing the portal dance once, properly.
Watch the video for the portal screens and the exact clicks, then keep this page open for the file names and the account checks.
▶️ Watch Full VideoBroadcom offers trial software and proof-of-concept routes through its own site and through partners and resellers. A trial still comes from Broadcom, with a time-limited entitlement, not from a download site.
Broadcom keeps earlier releases under My Downloads in the portal for entitled accounts. If your account cannot see the release you need, that is an entitlement or permissions issue to raise with Broadcom Customer Care.
Usually yes, once identity is proven. The serial number or site ID is on the purchase paperwork and reseller invoices, and Broadcom Customer Care can help recover entitlement details for the registered customer.
