Use Phone Apps on Windows 11 With Phone Link App Mirroring
No emulator, no virtual machine, no security blocks. Phone Link shows your actual phone's apps in windows on your PC, which is why even banking apps allow it. Here is the complete setup and the one limitation nobody mentions upfront.

The video installs Android inside Windows. Phone Link reaches the same goal from the other side, by bringing your phone screen to Windows
Every other method in this series builds an Android system inside your PC. Phone Link refuses that fight entirely. Your apps stay installed on your real phone, running on certified hardware, and Windows simply displays and controls them through a secure connection. That is why the apps that block every emulator, including banking and payment apps, work here without complaint. The trade is equally clear: your phone must be nearby, connected, and doing the real work, and the full Apps experience is limited to supported phone brands. This guide covers pairing, daily use, and how to check honestly whether your phone qualifies before you invest time.

What the Apps tab promises on a supported phone. The same pairing on an unsupported phone still gives calls, messages, photos and notifications, just not app windows.
1
Pair Your Phone With Phone Link Correctly
A clean first pairing prevents the disconnect loops people complain about later.
On the PC open Phone Link from the Start menu and choose Android
On the phone install or open Link to Windows, built into most Samsung and many other phones' settings
Sign in on both with the same Microsoft account and scan the QR code shown on the PC
Approve every permission request on the phone, especially notifications and app access, since skipped permissions silently disable features
Connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi network for the most stable session
2
Open and Use Your Phone Apps on the PC
Once paired, daily use is deliberately boring, which is a compliment for a mirroring tool.
Open the Apps tab in Phone Link and click any app installed on your phone
The app opens in its own window on the desktop while it runs on the phone, and you can pin favourites to the taskbar or Start
Type with your real keyboard, scroll with the mouse wheel, and use the phone itself any time, both stay in sync
Recent apps also appear inside the Phone Link flyout from the system tray for one click reopening
3
Check Whether Your Phone Supports Full App Streaming
This is the limitation to verify before blaming your setup. Microsoft gates app streaming by device partnership.
Full app access is offered on select Samsung Galaxy, HONOR, OPPO, OnePlus partner models and Surface Duo devices
If your phone is not on the supported list, the Apps tab and screen mirroring simply will not appear, and no setting can force them
Calls, messages, notifications, photos and clipboard sync work on almost every Android phone regardless
Screen mirroring on supported phones also needs the phone unlocked for the first connection of a session
4
Fix the Common Pairing and Lag Problems
When Phone Link misbehaves it is almost always network or permission related, not a broken install.
Turn off VPN on both devices during pairing, then test again on plain Wi-Fi
On the phone, set Link to Windows battery usage to Unrestricted so Android does not kill the connection in the background
Remove the phone from Phone Link settings and pair fresh if features vanished after a phone update
Accept that fast games will feel delayed, because the screen is being streamed, so use Play Games or an emulator for gaming and Phone Link for apps
Watch the Full Video for Complete Knowledge
Watch the video to compare the install-inside-Windows method, then use Phone Link as the zero-risk companion for your strict apps.
No. The apps stay on your phone and are streamed to a window on your PC. Nothing is installed in Windows, which is exactly why strict apps allow it.
Why do I not see the Apps tab in Phone Link?
Full app streaming needs a supported phone, mainly select Samsung, HONOR, OPPO and partner devices. On other phones you still get calls, messages, photos and notifications.
Can I play fast games through Phone Link?
You can open them, but the streamed picture adds delay that fast games punish. For gaming, Google Play Games on PC or an emulator gives a much better experience.
