Winflector Setup Guide 😳 Install & Publish Apps Easily!
Install Winflector Server on one Windows PC, publish any application on it, and your users can run that app remotely — from a small client or a browser — without installing the application on their own machines.

📋 Overview & Step-by-Step Guide
Install Winflector Server on the Host PC
Pick one Windows PC or server on which the applications are already installed — this becomes the host. Download Winflector from the official Winflector website and install the Winflector Server on this machine. The server program is wfserver.exe; it is the piece that shares the applications with remote users.
wfserver.exe
Start the Server and Check the Port (6601)
Start the Winflector Server and confirm it is running and listening for client connections. By default, Winflector clients connect on TCP port 6601. If users will connect from outside the local network, allow port 6601 through the host's firewall, and on the router forward TCP 6601 to the host PC's local IP address.
6601
Create User Accounts for Remote Access
In the Winflector Server, create the user accounts for the people who will open the applications remotely, and set a password for each one. Users sign in with these accounts when they connect, and you control which published applications each user is allowed to run.
Publish an Application (TallyPrime Example)
Now publish an application from the server's application settings: add a new application and point it to the program's executable file on the host PC. In the video, the example application is TallyPrime, whose program file on the host is:
C:\TallyPrime\tally.exe
Give the application a display name users will recognise, save it, and assign it to the user accounts created in the previous step. Any normal Windows application installed on the host can be published the same way — the application itself always runs on the server.
Connect from a Client PC with wfc.exe
On the user's PC, install or copy the small Winflector Client — nothing else needs to be installed there, and the published application is never installed on this machine. Start the client program:
wfc.exe
Enter the server's IP address (the public address if connecting over the Internet), keep the port as 6601 unless you changed it on the server, and sign in with the user account created in Step 3.
Run the Published App Remotely
After signing in, the user sees the list of published applications assigned to them. Click the application — TallyPrime in the video's example — and it opens in its own window on the client PC, even though the program is actually running on the server. Winflector also offers an HTML5 client, so the same published applications can be opened directly in a modern web browser without installing the client program.
