📋 Overview & Detailed Review

1

First Look — Dell 14 Pro (PC14250)

The Dell 14 Pro is Dell's mainstream business laptop in the renamed Pro lineup — the model number is PC14250. It is aimed squarely at office and professional work: Windows 11 Pro, commercial-grade security and a design meant to survive daily travel. In this video Anshu goes through the machine honestly — what is genuinely good, where Dell has cut corners, and whether it deserves your money.

2

Design and Build — Slim, Light, Business-First

At around 1.35 kg, the 14 Pro is easy to carry all day, and Dell describes the design as sleek, modular and built for durability, in a platinum finish. It looks professional rather than flashy — exactly what an office laptop should be. The trade-off at this price and weight is that the chassis does not feel as premium as Dell's higher Pro Premium line, so judge it as a work tool, not a luxury machine.

3

Display — Good Size and Ratio, Basic Colour

The 14-inch FHD+ panel (1920 × 1200) uses a taller 16:10 aspect ratio, which genuinely helps with documents, spreadsheets and coding — you see more of the page at once. It is an anti-glare IPS screen rated at 300 nits, fine for office lighting. The compromise is colour: the base panel covers only about 45% NTSC, so colours look washed out next to a good sRGB screen. For office work that is acceptable; for photo or video editing, it is a real weakness.

⚠️ Honest warning: if your work depends on accurate colour — design, photo or video work — the base display is the strongest reason to skip this configuration or look at a higher model.
4

Specifications on Paper

Dell sells the PC14250 with Intel Core Ultra 5 225U / 235U or Core Ultra 7 255U / 265U processors (12 cores, up to 5.2 GHz on the Ultra 7 255U), with integrated Intel Graphics and an NPU for on-device AI features. Memory is DDR5-5600 in 8 GB or 16 GB, storage is a 512 GB SSD in most configurations, and the machine runs Windows 11 Pro.

⚠️ Buy the right configuration: the RAM is soldered and runs in single channel — it cannot be upgraded later. Choose the 16 GB version at purchase time, because the 8 GB version is stuck that way for life.
5

Performance and Cooling

For everyday business work — Office, browsers with many tabs, video calls, light development — the Core Ultra U-series chips feel quick and stay quiet at idle. The honest compromise is cooling under sustained load: independent lab testing of this model shows the CPU running very hot in short bursts inside the slim chassis and pulling back its power on long, heavy jobs like rendering or big compiles. This is an efficiency laptop, not a workstation — judge it on office performance, not on benchmarks meant for gaming or creator machines.

6

Keyboard, Webcam, Ports and Security

The backlit keyboard includes a Copilot key, and the 1080p FHD webcam with IR and dual-array microphones is properly suited to video meetings and Windows Hello face sign-in. Ports are a genuine strength: one Thunderbolt 4 USB-C port, a second USB-C port, two USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1, an RJ-45 Ethernet socket for wired networks, and a headphone/mic combo jack — no dongle needed for a normal office desk. Security includes a TPM chip and a wedge lock slot, with a fingerprint reader offered on select configurations.

7

Battery and Charging

The 55 Wh, 3-cell battery supports ExpressCharge, and the laptop charges over USB-C — convenient when you move between office, home and client sites. Real-world life depends heavily on brightness and workload, so watch the video for Anshu's own usage impressions rather than trusting any single headline figure.

8

Final Verdict — Buy or Skip?

Buy it if you want a light, durable business laptop with modern Core Ultra performance, a practical 16:10 screen, excellent ports (including Ethernet), proper security and Dell's business support options, including ProSupport plans with next-business-day on-site service. Skip it if you need a colour-accurate display, upgradable memory, or sustained heavy performance for rendering, gaming or serious video editing — and skip the 8 GB RAM configuration entirely, because the soldered memory can never be increased.

✅ Buying tip: whichever configuration you choose, take the 16 GB memory option and the longest ProSupport warranty your budget allows — on a sealed business laptop like this, the warranty is part of the product.
