Speed Up Old PC - Tiny OS 10
An old PC usually slows down for two reasons: the hardware ages, and Windows grows heavier than the machine can carry. Tiny10 attacks the second problem - it is Windows 10 with the bundled apps and background weight cut out, installed here on a real old PC. This page walks through the install exactly as the video shows it, with the limits stated plainly.

📋 Overview & Step-by-Step Guide
Understand What Tiny10 Is Before You Install It
Tiny10 is a stripped-down edition of Windows 10 made by an independent developer who works under the name NTDEV - the same developer behind tiny11. NTDEV takes Microsoft's Windows 10 LTSC as the starting point, removes the bundled apps, extra components and background weight most people never use, and publishes the result as an ISO that installs like regular Windows. The project is finished: the final tiny10 releases are what exist, and no new builds are coming.
What the stripping buys you, in the developer's own figures: an installed system of about 5 GB on the 32-bit release and up to about 10 GB on 64-bit, where a normal Windows 10 install can pass 20 GB - and stated minimums of around 1 GB of RAM (32-bit) and 2 GB (64-bit). Fewer starting services also mean an old hard disk reaches a usable desktop sooner. What it does not buy you is a faster processor: Tiny10 removes weight, it cannot add power.
Prepare the Old PC First
Installing Tiny10 replaces the operating system on the machine, so prepare it like any full reinstall. Use a spare, old or test PC - never your only computer, and never the machine your job, studies, shop accounts or banking depend on. Note the PC's exact model and keep its official driver downloads handy, because a stripped build carries fewer fallbacks than stock Windows. Have your genuine Windows 10 key noted down before you start.
Download the ISO and Make the Bootable USB
Download the Tiny10 ISO for your PC's architecture (32-bit or 64-bit) from the developer's own release page on the Internet Archive - the source the video points to. Then write the ISO to a USB drive with a tool such as Rufus or Ventoy. The USB will be erased in the process, so use a spare one.
Boot from the USB and Install Tiny10
Boot the old PC from the USB - the boot menu key is usually F12, F8 or Esc, depending on the brand. From there the install follows the standard Windows flow the video shows screen by screen: choose the target drive, then work through language, region, keyboard and your account. Tiny10 releases are English-only, which surprises nobody who checked first.
Install Drivers and Your Essential Apps
On the fresh desktop, install the chipset, graphics and network drivers for your exact PC model from the manufacturer's official site - do not skip this on a stripped build, because it carries fewer built-in fallbacks. Then install your browser and essential apps from their official sites; depending on the Tiny10 version, there may be no Microsoft Store to lean on. Spend a day testing sound, Wi-Fi, printing and sleep before you call the machine finished.
Run the First-Hour Checks
Three quick checks on day one tell you what kind of Tiny10 you actually have. Security: open Windows Security and confirm whether antivirus protection is present and on - reports differ by version, so whatever your build shows is your truth. Activation: open Command Prompt and run the command the video uses:
slmgr.vbs /xpr
It shows plainly whether Windows considers itself permanently activated - remember, Tiny10 carries no licence of its own, so activation depends on your genuine key. Updates: run Windows Update once and note what happens - success, failure or silence. Updates are the fragile part of every stripped build.
