Control 500+ PCs from Your Phone 😳 ManageEngine Trick!
Your office has hundreds of PCs, but you do not have to sit at your desk to manage them. With the ManageEngine Endpoint Central mobile app, your phone connects to the same server that manages your fleet — so you can see every computer, remote control a PC, approve patches and check inventory from anywhere.

📋 Overview & Step-by-Step Guide
Get the Basics in Place First
The mobile app is a window into your existing Endpoint Central server — it does not manage PCs by itself. So first, the normal setup must already be running: Endpoint Central installed on a server, the agent deployed on every PC you want to manage, and an administrator account to sign in with. If your office fleet already shows up in the Endpoint Central web console, you are ready for the phone part.
Install the Endpoint Central App on Your Phone
On your Android phone or iPhone, open the Play Store or App Store and install the official ManageEngine Endpoint Central app. This is the same product family as your server console — install only the official ManageEngine app, not a look-alike remote tool.
Connect the App to Your Server
Open the app and enter your Endpoint Central server's address and port, then sign in with your administrator username and password. The default HTTP port of the Endpoint Central server is 8020 (the HTTPS port is 8383), so the address you type looks like this:
http://your-server:8020
Replace your-server with your server's name or IP address. Your phone must be able to reach the server — on the office Wi-Fi/LAN this works directly; from outside the office, connect through your VPN first.
See Your Whole Fleet on the Phone
After sign-in, the app shows the computers managed by your server — the same fleet you see in the web console, whether that is 20 PCs or 500+. You can search for a computer by name and see its status, so a user who calls you with a problem can be found in seconds, right from your pocket.
Remote Control a PC from the Phone
Select a computer in the app and start a remote control session to see and use its desktop on your phone screen. This is the real trick of the video: a user is stuck, you are away from your desk, and you can still look at their screen and fix the problem — no laptop, no waiting.
Approve Patches from Anywhere
Patch work does not have to wait for you to reach the office. From the app you can review the patches the server has found and approve or deploy them to your managed computers, so security updates keep moving even when you are travelling or working from home.
Check Inventory and Use Instant Actions
Open any computer in the app to see its inventory details — hardware and software information the agent has collected. The app also offers instant actions on a machine, such as a scan, restart or shutdown, so small jobs — "please restart that PC", "check what is installed on it" — get done on the spot instead of becoming a ticket for tomorrow.
Keep Mobile Access Safe
A phone that can control 500 PCs is powerful — protect it like the admin tool it is. Use a strong administrator password, keep the phone itself locked, and reach the server from outside only through HTTPS or your office VPN.
