Install Ventoy on the USB Drive

Start with a good-quality pendrive — 32 GB or larger is practical, because Windows, Linux and WinPE ISO files are big. Download Ventoy from its official website, extract the zip, and run Ventoy2Disk. Select your pendrive in the device list and click Install. Ventoy prepares the drive once; after that, the pendrive works like a normal storage drive that also happens to be bootable.

⚠️ Installing Ventoy formats the pendrive completely. Back up anything stored on it first — everything on the drive will be erased during the install.

Copy the ISO Files onto the Drive

Now open the Ventoy drive in File Explorer and simply copy your ISO files onto it — no extraction and no special tool needed. In the video the drive is loaded with the installers and live environments a technician uses daily: the Windows 11 24H2 ISO (Windows11_24H2.iso), a Linux ISO, and WinPE-based repair toolkits such as MediCat. You can keep the ISOs in folders to stay organised; Ventoy finds ISO files anywhere on the drive and lists them in its boot menu.

📌 Download ISO files only from official or trusted sources — for Windows, that means Microsoft's own software download page. Avoid unofficial ISO mirrors: a modified ISO can carry malware straight into every PC you service.

Add Your Portable Software

Create a folder on the same drive for your portable tools — the video keeps a PortableApps-style folder of software that runs directly from its .exe file without any installation. Copy in the portable versions of the utilities you use on service calls: diagnostics, cleaners, password and disk tools, browsers, office viewers — whatever your kit needs. Because the apps are portable, nothing is installed on the customer's PC and no settings are left behind.

Add Drivers and Keep Space for Data

Add a Drivers folder with the driver installers and driver packs for the machines you service most, so a fresh Windows install can be finished on the spot. Whatever space remains on the pendrive is still normal storage — use it to carry customer files, backups and documents. One drive now holds your boot tools, your software, your drivers and your data together.

Boot Any PC and Pick a Tool from the Menu

Plug the pendrive into any PC, restart it, and open the boot menu with the machine's boot-menu key (commonly F12, F8 or Esc, depending on the brand). Select the USB drive. Ventoy shows a menu listing every ISO on the drive — pick Windows Setup to install Windows, a Linux ISO to run a live system, or a WinPE toolkit like MediCat to repair a PC that will not start. Once Windows or the WinPE environment loads, open your portable software folder and run your tools straight from the pendrive.

✅ Keep the drive updated: when a newer Windows or toolkit ISO releases, just delete the old file on the pendrive and copy the new one in — there is no need to rebuild the USB.
